From an old WDFF book... Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 cup cane syrup or 1/2 cup golden syrup |
1 cup golden raisins or 1 cup sultana |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients and moisten with syrup and milk. 2. Place in prepared loaf tin, and stand for 15 minutes. 3. Bake for 1 hour at 350 F. |
