1 lb braising steak |
1/2 pint stock |
2 onions |
1 tablespoon flour |
2 cooking apples |

2 teaspoons curry powder |
3 hard-boiled eggs |
2 ounces sultanas |
2 (1 ounce) packets potato crisps |
1 ounce seeded raisins |
Directions:
1. Cut up the meat and slice the onions, apples and tomatoes. 2. Heat the drippings in a pan, add the meat, onion and apple, and fry until golden brown. 3. Add the tomatoes and curry powder and cook a few minutes longer. 4. Place the mixture in a casserole, add the dried fruit, and barely cover with stock. 5. Lid the casserole and cook at 350* for 1 1/2 hours. 6. Blend the flour with a little extra water and stir into the casserole. 7. Season to taste with a little salt and brown sugar. Garnish with parsley and sliced egg. Surround the casserole with potato crisps, and serve at once. |
