Corny Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese |

From Tastes for All Seasons by Crye-Leike. Add ham, smoked sausage, cut up Little Smokies or bacon, if desired. Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup oleo |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 (15 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, undrained |
1 (15 ounce) can cream-style corn |
1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 cup shredded medium cheddar, divided (or whatever kind of cheese you prefer, i use more cheese, so add extra if you want it really cheesy) |
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni |
salt and pepper, to taste |
8 ritz crackers |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in 9x12 pan in 350*F oven, adding onion to saute until soft. 2. Remove from oven and add other ingredients (reserve 1/2 cup of cheese). 3. Mix slightly and cover with tin foil. 4. Return to oven and bake 1 hour. 5. Remove tin foil; top with crushed crackers and remaining cheese. 6. Bake until brown. |
