Yum! Try this bread toasted. Definitely use the stone-ground cornmeal; it makes a difference in the texture. And don't forget the vital wheat gluten; 15 grams is equal to 5 teaspoons. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water |
2 tablespoons unsalted butter |
1/4 cup honey |
3 1/2 cups bread flour |
1/2 cups cornmeal |
1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder |
15 grams vital wheat gluten |
1 1/2 tsp. salt |
1 tablespoon fast-rise yeast |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to bread machine as instructed in owner's manual. 2. Select Basic Large loaf and Dark crust. |
