This recipe came from a lady that goes to my church. She used to make these all the time & I am not kidding when I say that people used to fight over them. We would hide them so that no one else could have one. We would also get dessert first at church just so we knew we would have one. Just looking at the recipe will not let you know how good they are. You gotta make these. The recipe calls for crunchy peanut butter but if you prefer plain, go for it! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup margarine |
1/2 cup white corn syrup |
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter |
5 cups corn flakes |
1 cup flaked coconut |
2 cups miniature marshmallows |
1/2 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Mix together the sugar, margarine, corn syrup, & peanut butter and boil for 2-3 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix corn flakes, cocount, marshmellows, & pecans. 3. When melted together, pour peanut butter mixture over the cornflake mixture. 4. Press into a 13x9 pan. 5. Chill until set & then cut into squares. |
