This is especially good on cold winter nights - Ingredients:
2 medium onions, sliced |
2 1/2-3 lbs corned beef brisket |
1 cup apple juice |
4 cups packed brown sugar |
2 teaspoons finely shredded orange peel |
2 teaspoons prepared mustard |
6 whole cloves |
6 pieces cabbage, small wedges |
Directions:
1. Place onions in Crockery Pot. Trim fat from Brisket. If necessary, cut meat to fit into Crockery Pot: place on top of onions. In a bowl combine apple juice, sugar, orange peel, mustard, adn cloves; pour over brisket. Place cabbage on top of meat. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours (high 5-6 hours). |
