This is a basic cornbread recipe with a slight twist of vanilla Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour |
3/4 cup enriched corn meal |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 cup milk |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1 egg, beaten |
1 tbsp vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Grease an 8 or 9 inch baking pan 3. Combine all of the dry ingredients 4. stir in the milk, oil, vanilla and egg 5. Pour the batter into the pan 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out cleanly |
