This is a basic cornbread recipe with a slight twist of vanilla
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup enriched corn meal
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Grease an 8 or 9 inch baking pan
3. Combine all of the dry ingredients
4. stir in the milk, oil, vanilla and egg
5. Pour the batter into the pan
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out cleanly
