This is a great crowd pleaser and perfect for a cool summer appetizer with fresh garden ingredients. Ingredients:
left over cornbread; crumbled |
2 medium tomatoes; diced |
1 bunch of green onions; diced |
1 large green pepper; diced |
1 cup of bacon bits |
1 bag of mild shredded cheese |
1 cup of real mayonaise |
1/2 cup of white sugar |
Directions:
1. Crumble leftover cornbread in bottom of casserole dish. 2. Add diced tomatoes, green onions, and green peppers. 3. In a seperate medium bowl add mayonaise and sugar and mix well. 4. Pour the mixture over top of the cornbread and vegetables. 5. Add shredded cheese and bacon bits to garnish. 6. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour, then serve. |
