Ingredients:
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
2 beaten eggs |
1 cup(s) cornmeal |
1 1/2 cup(s) flour (all purpose) |
1 cup(s) granulated sugar |
1 1/2 cup(s) milk |
1/2 cup(s) soft butter |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 2. Cream together butter and sugar 3. Sift together dry ingredients (flour, cornmeal, baking powder) 4. Combine remaining wet ingredients (eggs, milk, vanilla) with sugar and butter mixture 5. Mix wet and dry ingredients together alternately (end with wet) 6. Grease 9"x9" pan and spread dough into it 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and top springs back when touched and top cracks slightly and is golden brown. |
