The stuffing for this recipe has been in my family for several decades. Has some prep time but is sure worth it when you eat it! Ingredients:
1 pound butter/oleo melted |
1 onion chopped |
2 cups chopped celery |
1 recipe cooked cornbread from box |
6 cups bread cubes |
parsley |
salt |
pepper |
poultry seasoning |
sage |
2 eggs beaten |
2 cups turkey stock or chicken broth |
Directions:
1. Cook cornbread 2. Meanwhile, saute onion and celery in oleo until tender. 3. Mix diced cornbread, bread cubes, onion mixture and seasoning to taste. 4. Add eggs and stock. 5. Stir until well blended. 6. Bake, covered at 325 degrees for 45 minutes |
