This was a different twist to cornbread a friend made the other day. Ingredients:
8x8 or 9 x 13 pan of cooked cornbread ( from fav recipe) |
8 oz of cream cheese ( for 8x8) 16 oz for 9x13 |
bell pepper, chopped |
32 oz shredded cheese |
onion, chopped |
2 cups bacon |
optional canned red beans, fully drained |
Directions:
1. When corn bread has cooled enough to touch add chopped bell pepper, onion and optional beans. Spread cream cheese over top. Finish with shredded cheese and bacon. 2. This can be used for a snack, meal or side dish |
