These cornbread sticks go great with a nice chef salad or with just about anything you serve. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup buttermilk baking mix |
1/2 cup cornmeal |
1/4 cup water |
salt, in shaker |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in 9x9-inch baking pan. 2. Stir all but salt together to a soft dough. 3. Turn out on floured cloth covered board. 4. Knead till smooth. 5. Roll into 6x4-inch rectangle. 6. Cut into 8 strips. 7. Dip each into melted butter, coating all sides. 8. Arrange in pan, sprinkle lightly with salt. 9. Bake at 450° 12 to 15 minutes or till golden brown. 10. Makes 8 sticks. 11. Serve hot. |
