Delicious, buttery, corny cornbread Ingredients:
1/3 c honey |
1 1/2 c buttermilk |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 c yellow corn meal |
1 1/2 c unbleached flour |
1 t baking powder |
3/4 t baking soda |
3/4 t salt |
4 1/2 t melted butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 2. Grease a large cast iron skillet and preheat it in the oven. 3. Beat together the honey, buttermilk, and eggs. 4. Mix together well the dry ingredients. 5. Combine all ingredients, including the butter and pour into the hot skillet. 6. Bake about 20 minutes, or until done. |
