This is a bread that would taste good with a hot bowl of chili -
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/3 cup canola oil
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F Grease a 9-inch round pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients and add to dry. Pour into prepared pan.
3. Bake 25-30 minutes.
