This is a bread that would taste good with a hot bowl of chili - Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 cup cornmeal |
2/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1 cup milk |
1/3 cup canola oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F Grease a 9-inch round pan. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients and add to dry. Pour into prepared pan. 3. Bake 25-30 minutes. |
