This is a sweet cornbread cake recipe that is great for a crowd. If you make a pot of ham and beans, you will want this cornbread to accompany it.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter flavor shortening
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups yellow cornmeal
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups milk
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs, milk, flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder.
3. Bake in a greased sheet cake pan at 400^ for 20 minutes.
