Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 tablespoons peanut oil |
2 (17-ounce) cans cream-style corn |
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion in oil in a 3-quart saucepan until tender. Stir in corn and peanut butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and chowder is thoroughly heated. 2. Spoon chowder into individual serving bowls; serve immediately. |
