This is from an old Pillsbury cookbook that is falling apart. I don't have the front cover and part of the pages are torn. So, I'm going to share these before the book is completely destroyed. Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal |
1 cup pillsbury's best |
1 tsp soda |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 cup molasses |
1 cup sour milk |
2 eggs |
2 tbs melted butter |
Directions:
1. Sift together the cornmeal, flour and salt. Dissolve the soda in the sour milk, and then add it to the sifed ingredients. 2. Add the molasses and beat thoroughly. Add the eggs, well-beaten, and lastly the melted butter. Bake in a hot, well-greased pans, in a moderately hot oven 1/2 hour. |
