An old southern cornmeal griddle cake Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal |
1 cup natural flour |
1 t. salt |
4 t. baking powder |
1/4 cup shortening, melted |
1 egg, well beaten |
2 1/2 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients, combine egg and milk and stir into dry ingredients. Stir in shortening and add more milk if necessary to make a thin batter. |
