Ingredients:
2 cups yellow cornmeal |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
2 cups buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl; add butter and buttermilk, mixing well. Pour batter into a greased 9- x 5- x 3-inch loaf pan. Let mixture stand 15 minutes. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Serve warm. |
