Good side dish with any meat course. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 pinch salt |
1/2 tspn sugar |
1/4 tspn baking powder |
1/2 cup beer |
3/4 cup |
1 tbsp olive oil |
2 egg whites |
1 cup corn (fresh or canned) |
dash of pepper |
Directions:
1. Mis flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Gradually add beer, water and olive oil, then let batter rest one houir. 2. Beat egg whites stiffly and add to batter with corn and pepper. Drop by spoonfuls onto 1/2 hot oil in frying pan. Fry until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels. |
