Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup milk |
2 cups whole kernel corn |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. 2. Combine milk, corn, eggs, butter, and onion; mix well, and stir into dry ingredients. 3. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls into deep hot oil (375°). Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. |
