Corn Chowder

This wonderful chowder is a family favorite!
Ingredients:
1 (11 oz.) can of cream-style corn
1 (10 oz.) can of whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 c. of heavy cream
1/2 c. of shredded monterey jack cheese
1/2 c. of shredded cheddar cheese
5 diced slices bacon
1 chopped large onion
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
5 c. of chicken broth
1/2 tsp. of dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. First in a large pot cook bacon until crisp.
2. Now drain off fat, leaving 1 tbsp in pot.
3. You then want to break off bacon into pot.
4. Now throw the onion into the medium flamed pot and cook until done.
5. Add in the broth, oregano, salt and pepper.
6. Let this cook over low flame for about 30 min. letting potates get tender.
7. Now pour in the cream style corn and whole corn and cook approx 10 min.
8. Finally, stir in cream, Monterey Jack cheese, and the Cheddar Cheese over low flame.
9. Remove and serve!
