classic corn bread with a spicy kick Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal |
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour |
2 tbs +1 tsp baking powder |
1 1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups buttermilk |
3 tbs. canola oil |
4oz can diced green chiles |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350 2. combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar untill well mixed 3. combine eggs, buttermilk, oil and green chilies, 4. slowley add wet ingrediants to dry, mix well. 5. pour into greased pan and bake about 25 mins,or untill knife comes out clean. serve warm |
