Corn Bread Fit For A Feast |

This recipe makes enough to feed a large family. Other than saying.. it's cornbread, not sure how to describe it. : ) Ingredients:
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour |
4 t. baking powder |
1/2 c. sugar |
2 t. salt |
6 c. yellow cornmeal |
4 eggs, well beaten |
3 c. evaporated milk |
2 c. water |
1 c. margarine, melted |
Directions:
1. Sift first 4 ingredients together in a large bowl and add cornmeal 2. Combine last 4 ingredients and add to first mixture 3. Stir only until dry ingredients are dampened 4. Pour into two greased 13x9x2 inch pans 5. Bake in preheated 425 F oven for about 20 minutes 6. Cut into 12 pieces each pan |
