5 cup(s) bread cubes |
1&1half teaspoon(s) salt |
1fourth teaspoon(s) pepper |
to taste sage |
1 cup(s) cellery chopped |
1 cup(s) onion chopped |
half cup(s) shortening melted |
2 eggs beaten |
1 & fouth cup(s) water |
Directions:
1. combine crumbled corn bread,bread cubes,salt,pepper and sage,then in skillet lightly brown celery and onion in shortening;add eggs and water,tossing lightly to combine,{Use an additional half cup of water for a moister dressing.}stuff lightly into neck region or body cavity of turkey.Roast according to standard roasting time.Bake any remaining dressing in an uncovered casserole dish during last 30 mins of roasting time. can substitute chicken or turkey broth for the water in this recipe |
