This bread goes great with chili. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour |
1 cup cornmeal |
2/3 cup sugar |
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
1 egg, beaten |
honey |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease nine-inch pan. Combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and egg. Mix just until moistened. Pour into pan and bake for 25 minutes. Spread honey on top of bread while hot. |
