I haven't tried this but always meant to. It sounds so delicious and a great way to use leftovers. Ingredients:
4 cups cooked chicken, chunks |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
2 cups cooked ham, chunks |
1 cup onions, chopped |
1/4 cup margarine |
1/3 cup flour |
1 3/4 cups milk |
1/8 tsp. dry mustard |
1/8 tsp. nutmeg |
salt to taste |
crunchy crumble topping, below |
Directions:
1. Layer chicken, cheese and ham in a 9 x 13 pan. I've never made this but would give the pan a spray of Pam I think. 2. Saute onions in margarine. 3. Stir in flour and blend in milk. 4. Add seasonings. 5. bring to a boil and stir until thickened. 6. Pour over mixture in casserole. 7. Top with crunchy topping. 8. Crunchy Crumble Topping 9. 2 1/2 cups course bread crumbs 10. 1/2 cup shredded cheese 11. 1/4 cup margarine, melted 12. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. |
