Save a lot of money making salsa at home rather than buying it by the bottle in the stores! This salsa freezes well. Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce |
28 ounces water |
1 medium yellow onion, minced |
2 fresh jalapeno peppers, with seeds,minced |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in saucepan over med-high heat. 2. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until thick. 3. Remove from heat and cool. 4. Store in an airtight jar in refrigerator until serving. |
