Make sure the bananas are ripe (not over-ripe though), makes it more tasteful. I made this as a dessert and froze it in 4 individual small bowls. Eaten as a snack (in between everything else.....) it'll probably serve 2. I also garnished it with some chocolate chips and a little chopped nuts. Freezing time is not included in prep. time. Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas |
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Peel and slice the bananas, put them in the blender. 2. Add remaining ingredients and blend together on high speed until thick and creamy. 3. Scrape mixture into a container, or individual small bowls, and freeze. 4. Before serving, move the ice cream from the freezer to refrigerator for 20 minutes to soften it slightly. |
