makes enough frosting for a 2 layer cake..this is from an old recipe book Ingredients:
1 tablespoon flour |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup milk |
3 egg yolks, beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup coconut |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Blend first 5 ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. 2. Add vanilla, coconut and walnuts; mix well. 3. Cool. 4. Frost cooled cake. 5. Enough frosting for a 2 layer cake. |
