Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup milk
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
1. Melt butter in top of a double boiler; stir in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper. Combine milk and yolk in a small mixing bowl; gradually stir into flour-mustard mixture. Cook over boiling water 5 minutes or until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat, and stir in lemon juice.
