Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 ounces evaporated milk
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in saucepan, mix well.
2. Let stand for 1 hour.
3. Cook to soft boil stage or 234°F on candy thermometer, stirring occasionally.
4. Beat until creamy and of spreading consistency.
5. Frost cooled cake.
