the most amazing pie crust you will ever eat. And talk about easy to make!! My grandmother has been making this pie crust for 50 years and it never fails to be flaky and tender. All of my neighbors love this. Works amazingly with any filling. This recipe makes one doube crust or 2 single crusts. Ingredients:
2 cups white flour |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup shortening (preferably fluffo for best results, this is what my grandmother always uses.) |
1 egg |
2 tablespoons cold water |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
Directions:
1. For double crust:. 2. bake 425 degrees for 40 minutes. 3. Single crusts:. 4. 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. |
