This is a recipe that was shared amongst the Congaree (S.C.) Girl Scout Council scouts and leaders years ago. The girls loved it, it is versatile and easy to tweak into your favorite quick supper. Actually, it's easy to cook on a campfire too! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef |
2 cans campbell's vegetable soup (vegetarian or vegetable beef) |
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 stalk celery, chopped |
Directions:
1. Brown beef, pepper, celery and onion in a heavy skillet, drain excess fat. 2. Mix in the soup (undiluted) I like to add a little extra tomato-usually some tomato sauce or v-8 juice. 3. Add any other seasonings, such as garlic or garlic powder or vegetables, such as carrots , extra potatoes or even diced tomatoes. It is fine without extras though. 4. Cook until all vegetables are tender and serve on a plate or in a bowl. 5. Very tasty! |
