From Carnation Ingredients:
nonstick cooking spray |
8 large egg whites |
4 large eggs |
1 1/3 cups carnation instant nonfat dry milk powder (3.2 ounces envelope) |
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (8 ounces) |
2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced (about 6 ounces) |
1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped |
2 medium green onions, sliced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F 2. Spray 10-inch oven-proof skillet with nonstick cooking spray. 3. Combine egg whites, eggs and dry milk in medium bowl; mix thoroughly. 4. Stir in cheese, mushrooms, bell pepper, green onions, salt and black pepper. 5. Pour mixture in prepared skillet. 6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until set in center. 7. Cool on wire rack for 5 minutes before cutting into wedges. 8. For a Lower Fat Frattata:. 9. Substitute two 8-ounce cartons of egg substitute and 2 cups reduced-fat cheddar cheese for egg whites, eggs and cheddar cheese. |
