Ingredients:
5 cup(s) concord grapes |
1/4 cup(s) flour |
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 1/4 cup(s) sugar |
Directions:
1. Wash grapes thoroughly. Remove skins by pinching at the end opposite the stem. Reserve the skins. Bring pulp to a boil; simmer for 3 or 4 minutes or until pulp is soft. Put through sieve to remove seeds. Mix strained pulp with grape skins, 1 to 1 1/4 cups sugar (depending on the sweetness of grapes), lemon juice, flour, and salt. Pour into 9" pastry-lined pie pan. Adjust top crust. Brush pie top with cream, and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 400 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. |
