Here is a homemade dry pancake mix that can be used for many pancake recipes. It should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Combine 1 1/3 cup of dry mix with 3/4 cup water and 1 egg. Ingredients:
6 cups all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 cup dry milk powder |
1 cup shortening |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and dry milk. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. |
