Fix and Forget it recipe for a moist chicken and rice. The chicken was tender and delicious, but I'm a sucker for this sticky rice :) Recipe from Grace Turner of Marvell, Arkansas Ingredients:
1 large fryer, cut up |
1 cup uncooked rice |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups water |
1 (4 ounce) can chopped mixed mushrooms, drained |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
Directions:
1. Place rice in buttered casserole with a small amount of the water. Combine soups, salt, remaining water and mushrooms. Pour over rice. Dip chicken pieces in butter and lay on top of soups. Bake at 275 for 2 1/2 hours. |
