Comfort Food Baked Custard |

Easy to make,easier to enjoy! This custard is done when it appears set but still jiggles slightly. The custard will firm up as it cools. Bet you can't just eat a little! Ingredients:
3 eggs, slightly beaten |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/2 cups milk |
1 dash nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350*. 2. In large bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla; blend well. 3. Gradually stir in milk. 4. Pour into 6 ungreased 6-oz. 5. custard cups. 6. (If desired, pour mixture into 1 qt. casserole dish.) Sprinkle with nutmeg. 7. Place custard cups in 13x9 inch pan. 8. Pour boiling water into pan around custard cups to a depth of 1 inch. 9. Bake at 350* for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. 10. Serve warm or cold. 11. Store in refrigerator. |
