Colonel Sanders’ Southern Pecan Pie |

This is my personal recipe for Southern pecan pie. Ingredients:
4 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 cup light corn syrup (karo brand) |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 pinch salt |
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon vinegar |
4 tablespoons soft salted butter |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 prepared pie crust, unbaked |
2/3 cup pecans, halved |
Directions:
1. Mix the first 7 ingredients together thoroughly. 2. Spread 2/3 cup pecan halves in an unbaked pie shell. 3. Pour liquid mixture over pecans in pie shell. 4. Bake 35-45 minutes in 325 F degree oven. |
