Coleslaw With Cranberries |

This a great twist on coleslaw. Perfect for summer cookouts. Found somewhere on internet and tweaked it to make it my own. We all LOVED it. Ingredients:
1 and one half bags (14 oz. )prepared coleslaw |
1/3 cup honey roasted almond slices |
3/4 cup orange-flavored craisins (sweetened cranberries) |
1/4 cup red wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons raspberry jam |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
2 pinches salt |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, heat vinegar, jam, sugar, mustard, olive oil and salt. 2. Allow mixture to cool. 3. In large bowl, mix coleslaw mix, almonds and craisins. 4. When dressing mixture is cool, pour over coleslaw and stir well. Let sit one hour and then stir again. |
