A very easy salad that lasts for about 2 weeks in the fridge! Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage, shredded |
2 medium carrots, shredded |
1 medium onion, sliced thinly |
3/4 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup oil |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 tbls. salt |
1 tbls. celery seed |
Directions:
1. Bring vinegar, sugar, oil and spices to a boil. 2. Boil for 5 minutes and cool. 3. Pour over cabbage, carrots and onion. 4. Store in an ice cream pail. 5. Keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge. |
