Ingredients:
1/2 cup salad oil |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon prepared mustard |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1 medium head of cabbage, shredded |
1 medium onion, finely chopped |
1 green pepper, finely chopped |
1 carrot, shredded (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, heat oil, sugar,vinegar,mustard, salt and celery seed and bring to a rolling boil. 2. Pour the hot mixture over the vegetables, stirring well to combine. 3. Let stand in the refrigerator for 24 hours before serving. 4. Keeps for days. |
