Ingredients:
8 cups finely sliced cabbage |
1 tablespoon finely chopped celery |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened |
1/2 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Combine cabbage and celery; set aside. 2. Place eggs and sugar in a medium saucepan; beat well. Combine mustard, salt, and pepper; add to egg mixture. Add butter, and slowly stir in vinegar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat; chill. 3. Add whipping cream to chilled mixture, stirring well. Pour sauce over cabbage mixture; toss well. Cover and chill. |
