Cold Cherry Soup

I am not a fan of cold soups, but this one was delicious at a party I attended. Very rich flavor.
Ingredients:
2-14 ounce cans of sour cherries; no pits, but keep juice
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup red wine
1 cup cream or milk
2 tablespoons flour
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, combine the cherries, their juices, the cinnamon sticks, sugar and the wine.
2. Heat, but do not boil.
3. In a bowl, combine the flour and milk, stirring well.
4. Strain into the hot cherries.
5. Cook until thickened.
6. Chill before serving.
