Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
1 1/2 cups marshmallows |
1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup margarine |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
1 cup coca-cola |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/2 cup margarine |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
6 tablespoons coca-cola |
1 lb powdered sugar |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Marshmallows may be chopped or miniature.
2. Sift together flour and sugar, stir in marshmallows and set aside.
3. Bring to a boil, shortening, margarine, cocoa and Coke.
4. Remove from heat and pour over dry ingredients.
5. Stir in buttermilk, baking soda and eggs.
6. Do not beat this cake mixture.
7. Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch pan and bake in a preheated 350 deg.
8. oven for 45 minutes or until done.
9. Cool 30 minutes before frosting cake.
10. Coke Cake Frosting: Bring margarine, cocoa and Coke to a boil.
11. Boil a minute, remove from heat and gradually add sugar.
12. Stir in pecans.
