While looking thru my holiday recipes, I came across an old favorite. Totally forgot about this one. I'm adding it to my beverage collection so I don't forget it again. This makes a great Adult Punch. I've made an ice ring with the cranberry juice in a jello ring and add it to the punch before serving. Keeps it from getting watered down and looks pretty in a punch bowl. This has Contreau in it, but you can use OJ or even Triple Sec. Whichever you prefer. Half the recipe for 4 servings easily. Ingredients:
4 cups cranberry juice |
2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice |
2 cups fresh orange juice |
1 cup fresh grapefruit juice |
1 3/4 cups cointreau liqueur (optional) or 1 3/4 cups orange liqueur (optional) |
1 cup ginger ale |
1 lemon, thinly sliced |
Directions:
1. Freeze half the cranberry juice in ice cube trays or a gelatin ring - if adding to a punch bowl. 2. . , combine remaining fruit juices and chill. Just before serving, add cranberry ice cubes, Cointreau and ginger ale. Garnish with lemon slices. |
