~Dessert~ Ingredients:
1 cup water |
3/4 cup sugar |
3 tablespoon instant espresso coffee powder(or your choice of favorite instant coffee blends) |
2 cups water |
1 cup chilled whipping cream |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Heat 1 cup water and 3/4 cup sugar to boiling,reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes. 2. Remove from heat,sprinkle in coffee powder,stirring until dissolved,stir in 2 cups water. 3. Pour into ice cube trays. 4. Freeze until mushy in center,about 2 hours. 5. Stir mixture,freeze 1 hour,stirring after 30 minutes or so. 6. Stir again before serving.(should be broken into tiny ice crystals but should not be solid) 7. Beat whipping cream,2 tableapoons sugar and the cinnamon in a well chilled bowl until soft peaks form. 8. Alternate layers of whipped cream and Coffee Ice in chilled stemmed dessert dishes,beginning and ending with the whipped cream. |
