This frosting recipe is one of my all-time favorites. When I want to zip up a chocolate cake, this is my first choice. Ingredients:
1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter or margarine, softened |
1 tsp instant coffee powder |
1 pkg (1 lb) 10x confectioners powdered sugar, icing sugar, or equivalent |
3 tbsp coffee liqueur |
2 tbsp milk |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter or margarine with about half of the sugar 2. Combine the powdered coffee, milk and liqueur in a cup 3. Add this mixture alternately with the rest of the sugar, a little at a time, beating thoroughly until smooth 4. All of the ingredients are estimates. I always adjust everything, and I've never had it fail me yet. |
