This is from one of my vintage cookbooks. Sounds wonderful! Chill time is not included in total prep time. Ingredients:
1/2 lb marshmallow |
1 cup hot coffee |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Put marshmallows in double boiler. 2. Add coffee and salt-stirring,heat until smooth. 3. Chill until it begins to set. 4. Fold in stiffly whipped cream. 5. Add vanilla. 6. Chill until mixture will mound. 7. Serve in sherbert glasses. |
